Business Law

Business law doesn’t need to be complicated. Whether you are starting your first business, are a serial entrepreneur, or you have an established company, business law attorney Nathan Jones can help you. Our firm can assist in creating your LLC or corporation and will make sure you have maximum liability protection. Nathan has a background in finance and teaches a tax law course as an adjunct professor, so he can also give you advice on the valuation of your business, help with financial projections and give you ideas and suggestions to optimize your tax situation.

Whether you are starting your first business, are a serial entrepreneur, or you have an established company…

Jones & Ueligger Law represents many startups and helps entrepreneurs start, protect and grow their businesses. Ultimately, many of our clients hope to sell their businesses. We will help you structure your company with a future sale in mind and when the time to sell comes, we will represent your interest and ensure that you exit from the company in the most efficient and tax-effective way possible.

If you already own a company, Jones & Ueligger Law can help you too. We begin by reviewing how your business is structured to make sure you have as much liability protection as possible. From there, attorney Nathan Jones can review or prepare agreements or contracts, assist in negotiating transactions and leases, and provide legal advice for any issue that might arise. If you believe you may need a non-solicitation or non-compete agreement for your employees, we can prepare those for you as well. We will also ensure that your business will pass to the person or persons of your choosing in the event something happens to you (this is called “succession planning”).

We take pride in protecting our business clients and helping them thrive.

For our larger business clients, Jones & Ueligger Law will act as outside general counsel. We have found that many businesses have grown to the point where it would be very beneficial to have an attorney on call to help with employment issues, compliance, contract negotiation and review, or management of your company’s litigation, but the cost of hiring a general counsel is just too expensive. For a small fraction of the cost, you can hire our firm to act as your outside general counsel. We will establish a fixed monthly fee and you will have unlimited use of an attorney, just like you would if you hired one as an employee.

So, if you are a business owner, our firm can help you. We take pride in protecting our business clients and helping them thrive. Contact our office today to see what we can do for you.
